When choosing wedding suppliers, most of the time, it is about building up a nice rapport and getting to know the people you are buying from. This is the reason I love wedding shows as it gives me and the other suppliers the perfect opportunity to showcase their talents to couples looking for inspiration on their wedding day.
The wonderful Applewood Hall opened it’s doors for a Wedding Show on March 8th, a few weeks before the covid-19 lockdown, with a selection of suppliers to be able to help, advise and ultimately get to know the couples and their families in a relaxed setting. It’s always lovely to be able to meet potential couples before they book anything as they can view your work, have a chat and ask the questions they have, plus hear from each supplier what they offer rather than having to read it on the website or in a magazine. I love the personal approach to it all and for those couples that book, it ultimately leads to a much more relaxed experience.
With most suppliers, you usually get to see us a few times before the actual day for consultations, tastings, fittings and with me it is the pre wedding shoot. This shoot is one of the most important to me as I can spend quality time with you both at a location that means something to you both. You can get used to the camera and feel relaxed in front of it and also around me too.
Every couple usually says that they feel awkward or are not camera people, but after the pre wedding shoot, viewing the photos and chatting about their day, they usually feel so much more relaxed.
