Vocalist – Singing Teacher – Choral Director
Zaira Palumbo is a classically trained soprano based in Norfolk. She studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the tuteledge of Joan Rodgers CBE and Anna Tilbrook.
Zaira has a wealth of experience within the classical and musical theatre genres and has performed in many concert venues and churches including Blackheath Halls, Norwich Theatre Royal, Sheringham Little Theatre, Old Royal Naval College Chapel – Greenwich, Clare College Chapel – Cambridge, St Andrews Hall – Norwich and King George’s Hall – Blackburn.
Zaira was a semi-finalist at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in 2013 and was selected to reperesent Trintiy Laban in The Kathleen Ferrier Bursary Competition in 2015. Zaira is a keen concert soloist regularly singing with choral societies. Concert performances include The Seasons: Haydn, Mass in G: Schubert, Come ye sons of art: Purcell, Missa Brevis in B flat: Mozart.
Zaira also has a strong passion for musical theatre and operetta having performed lead roles including Fantine: Les Miserables, Carlotta: The Phantom of the Opera, Grace Farrell: Annie and Angelina: Trail By Jury.
Alongside performing, Zaira is a peripatetic singing teacher and is musical director for Broadland Youth Choir, Red Loft Theatre Company, Mundesley Community Choir. She also teaches group classes at Red Loft Theatre School and Knowles Dance and Fitness Studio.
